Mrs. Gina Murray
Kindergarten Teacher and Director of Early Learning for School-age Program

Mrs. Gina MurrayIn the daycare, I am referred to as “Miss” Gina as I am the Head Teacher and have been since its conception in 1999 when I collaborated in pioneering Kittens & Cubs. In another successful pioneering effort, the Kindergarten was established in 2004; there I am known as Mrs. Murray. I have a B.S. in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Language Arts, and I have also begun my journey in a Masters Program.

My first love of teaching started when I was a child as the first born of four girls growing up. I so loved teaching them and what was astounding was that they loved being taught!!! Then many years later, I became a mom and that clinched it! I began my college career when my son started preschool. Although a “late bloomer”, I graduated College into my thirties as I taught preschool and parented my one and only son. I continue classes toward my Master’s Degree, as well as researching innovative techniques on engaging children in the learning process. I have been a foster parent and an outreach coordinator because I have a heart to care for others. I love all creatures, great and small – all people, children and animals! Children keep me young and intuitive of mind and spirit! I am living my childhood dream every day of my life! How awesome is that?!

Miss Jessica O'Reilly
Program Director

Miss Jessica O'ReillyI have worked at Kittens and Cubs since February 2006. I joined this wonderful teaching team after working at an Early Childhood Center in Norton, MA for six years.

Prior to entering the Early Childhood Education field I studied at the Community College of Rhode Island where I received my Associates Degree. After graduating I quickly began working in an Infant and Toddler Program as a Lead Teacher. I also cared for two young children privately in their home. After that experience, I joined the Rainbow Kids Learning Center teaching staff as an Infant/Toddler Lead Teacher. While I was in this position, I worked primarily with the 2 year olds. During my first two years in this position I continued my education by taking evening courses through Wheelock and Massasoit Community College. After working for two years as the Lead Toddler teacher, I was offered the Program Director Position which I gladly accepted. While I was the Director, we built and moved into a brand new, expanded facility and we also received our National Accreditation through NAEYC.

Upon making the decision to join Kittens and Cubs, I was very excited to bring the knowledge and experience into this facility and to be able to offer my abilities to provide strong and high-quality care and learning experiences for the children.

My own professional mission is to be able to work with the caregivers and the children’s parents as a team to ensure that the children that are in our care receive the highest quality of unconditional love, respect as well as enjoying the learning process as the children grow to be who it is they are created to be. And amidst the process, have the greatest amount of fun that we possibly can have.
